This was written for a teenage audience, and I found it to be a quick, high level Intro into the Romanov Dynasty. I didn't know anything about the Romanovs...I didn’t realize they were in power (over 1/6 of the world’s land) for over 300 years and Peter The Great’s last name was Romanov. So, I found it very interesting. However, if you go over to Amazon’s reviews, you will find a discussion how this is really the author’s fictional account of this family, and misleading regarding Lenin’s role in the assassinations. If you have a choice to get this as a downloadable audio...do that over the CDs...the reader reads very, very slowly.
