This was definitely an absorbing read. Despite it's length, I raced right through it. There were some elements of disbelief though, primary of which was elements of the main character, Eric. I wanted to strangle him for making some of the decision he continued to make - realistically, if a person was faced with this situation, I don't think he would act like he did. I will say that I was shocked by the "reveal(s)", but didn't completely understand them either - I thought that the reasoning behind who is revealed as the sociopath should have been explained in much more detail instead of just brushed over -- frankly I didn't really believe that it was who it was based on the characters actions throughout the whole book. Regardless, this was a good read and I would be tempted to pick up another novel by Scottoline in the future.
