Unintentionally, I read this book without realizing immediately that it was the second of the series/trilogy. Shows how brilliant one is... But I guess one just needs to "accept, assess, and adapt", no? (That was taken directly from the book, in case you didn't catch the drift). But Ruby was definitely interesting. Not because of her personality, or her courage, or her role in her world. It was more so her flaws that caught my attention. She is headstrong, bold, and sometimes, that can lead to danger. She does things without thinking, which I find make her more real, but not less admirable. In those situations, what can one really do? In all honesty I probably would have gone insane. - @Siri of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
