Transformer Prime Season 3: Beast Hunters: Plot progressed as per usual; introducing the element of predacons, which if I recall from Beast Wars and Beast Machines series of the 90's and 00's, the the beast bots were actually descendants of the autobots and decepticons. I may have to gloss over my prime history of transformers again. I enjoyed the plot, although there were a number of moments where getting ready for battle kind of moments, I felt like I was being introduced to the new line of toys or a video game; where each bot and respective child to bot, would do some kind of pose and or with weapon and such in hand or hands, respectively, in a cool composed, non-nonchalant or avant guard gesturing freeze frame stance. Eh, cool, but it felt a little commercialized to me...still marginally cool, though. Thinking back to the Transformers movie of 1985; I still (won't spoil this, but) think that Automus Prime, played by Peter Cullin, might die once again as he lay prostrated against dilapidated slag-like wall, ready to bite the big (All-Spark) one. +Without too much spoiler, I did appreciate, and I hope I can say this clandestinely and still make it make sense to those who have seen already season 3 or will eventually see season 3; the Big Bot homage, of a bulky, lovable leader gone through hell, himself, being reincarnated phoenix-style through like a spiritual cameo of like previous successors: BW and BM, upgrading self spiritually and somatically (or maybe that was just my over active imagination seeing all that). A zombie episode was a great break from the usual rigors of "tit for tat" between the usual factions…poor Silus (bad dude, but still…). The nice dividing of forces again is a must; seeing how Starscream was trying his best to behave for his master, Megatron, this season; he obviously could not fufill this role; but none the less it was accomplished. When things go bad for me when watching Prime, and it is not too often, although in my actual life these sayings would exemplify it well, and they would be; "well, that's just Prime"...and "slag-happens." I still will involve many myriads of anime and cartoon vernacular in my daily dilly-dally-shilly-shally moments with others to draw out some prospective players and watchers of the arcane artistic anime and cartoon and rpg gamer world of ours. Good season; I appreciate the efforts. I would like to get more cameos or a whole season or a whole series devoted someday to life on the Transformers home planet before the wars, having and showing the political and meticulous transactions of that kind of environment; and it is as to see why they fight against one another...to truly see what they are fighting for. It might work, although I imagine it to be a lot less action and of more intellectual hardships of like everyday life. 4.5/5.0 -Xandor Who; jjm
