A team of women decided to look into a series of murders using their complimentary skills: eidetic memory, pattern recognition, intelligence gathering and outside-the-box thinking. Relative to other female sleuth genre from European TV, like it a lot more than "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," a bit more than "Mr & Mrs Murder" and about the same as the Swedish TV series "Crimes of Passion 2014." From DVD behind the scenes: The Bletchley Circle is the story of four women who, during the war years, work at Bletchley Park. Who forge a bond of friendship during those years, but who then don't see each other afterwards, and who, by the mid-'50s, are leading totally different lives. Lives in which they have kept their wartime jobs a secret from husbands and boyfriends. But one of them, Susan, starts to see a pattern in a series of killings that have been happening through London. A pattern she believes the police have missed. And it's that which draws her back into the world of patterns and codes, and trying to make sense of something that appears chaotic and random. The whole premise of the piece is that these are ordinary women thrown into extraordinary circumstances.
