The Fault in our Stars by John Green is truly an amazing book, and it gives an excellent insight on cancer, specifically a child dealing with cancer. Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters go through a lot together, and their character development is very interesting to be a part of. I would recommend this book for anyone ages 14+, or to anyone who really enjoyed any of John Green’s other amazing books. This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I definitely recommend reading it, just make sure you have a lot of tissues on hand, because it can get very sad. 5/5 stars @teen_reader19 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board The Fault in Our Stars is about two teenagers, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus “Gus” Waters who are both battling cancer and they fall in love. As Hazel and Gus talk, they both realize they can relate to a lot of things in their lives that no one else understands which include living with cancer and their favourite books. The main book that they both show an interest in is “An Imperial Affliction”. The novel revolves around Hazel and Gus’ love story, Hazel’s outlook on cancer, the ups and downs on relationships and how to get through them. This is my favourite book to read and it taught me to live life to the fullest and to never take anything for granted. I recommend reading this movie if you are into romance or if you just ever want to have a cry. I would rate this book a 5/5. @hibiscusflower of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board ★★★★★ This story is beyond incredible. I absolutely loved reading this book. It proves that some things, though tragic, though unimaginably painful, must happen. The connection of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters grows as the world seems to shrink, and that is truly beautiful. These characters have created this fractured vase of a world, mending itself, and John Green has done and especially amazing job of bringing it all to life. I highly recommend this book to really any young adult, as it portrays the love we wish we had, in a life we fear. We’ve all come to be side effects of life, as life is a side effect of death, as death is simply @RoseleineSaphoria of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
