Honestly, this book might be the greatest book of all times. Some say that this book encourages suicide, it doesn't, this book gives you Hannah's experience, you are free (and this is hinted around the book) to make an appropriate decision. Others say this book hints that suicide is a way you can escape, I am going to get a lot of hate for this - but it is, but 13 Reasons Why is a book for mature readers, expecting you to make an appropriate decision. I strongly disagree with @Chapel_Hill_KatieJ (her comment is right under mine), this book (if you are a mature reader) should not encourage suicide, in fact, I personally believe this book teaches the reader what are the effects of bullying, and it teaches you about peer pressure. This book is a lot to handle, so I would recommend it to mature readers. This book is written wonderfully, you really get to experience what Hannah went through, it's a very gripping book.
