Again the author Ally Carter does not disappoint in terms of keeping a fast paced and interesting plot with captivating characters. Uncommon criminals follows a crew of teenagers known for robbing the greatest museum ever known. Although this book is a bit confusing at first, especially if you’ve read the first book a while back; I loved the characters even more in this book. After Kat and her crew robbed the Henley, they have a bit of a reputation so when an elderly lady asks them to steal the Cleopatra stone for her they agree, even though it is cursed, but when things take a turn for the worst and the crew realizes something, they find themselves trying to steal to return the stone back to its rightful owner. The character development in this series is very well written and not at all choppy or unnatural. The author Ally Carter does an excellent job at connecting with her audience through her characters because despite the fact that Kat is a criminal, she undergoes the same struggles and issues teenagers deal with today. The sidekicks in this book were also very interesting to read about, each with a different personality that bring something different to the team. This is a very quick read that I think would be good for teenagers looking for a bit of mystery that isn’t too dark or serious.
