When I first picked up this book I thought it was going to be kind of a scary sci-fi story, but then when I read the back of the book it sounded so ridiculous that I just had to give it a try! While reading this book I discovered that while the story line itself is similar to those bad sci-fi movies that are so bad that they are actually good, the way this book is told is really funny. The story plays off of many elements and moments found in the above mentioned movies, which is where much, but not all, of the humor is found. But even for people who have never watched these types of movies I think that, with the way the book is told, they would still get the humor. One thing I particularly enjoyed about this book, after how funny it was, was the fact that in several places, rather than using a lot of details to describe certain scenes, there are short comic book style illustrations. Some are just pictures and others are pictures and words. The ones with words are definitely the funniest of these sections. The book also alternates between the story of the kids in the book and the alien rabbits. There are also sections, which are a bit random and highly entertaining. One section is a comparison between Earth rabbits and the alien rabbits known as Fluffs. Another is a chart of famous last words. And yet another is a couple of pages which act like very short commercial breaks with two pages of advertisements. All of these random sections are very funny and entertaining. My favorite chapter in the book is chapter 41. While very short and only one paragraph long I thought this was the funniest chapter in the whole book.
