Think back. Even if you're only an occasional movie-watcher, you'll likely recall a movie or two that you've never forgotten. Maybe because of the movie itself, or the time/place in which you first saw it or, sometimes, the AGE at which you saw it. It's a movie that is lodged in your memory forever. Call it: "Impact."
This is one of maybe a couple of dozen movies that truly made a personal impact on me.
I can still sense the silence of the outback...and the estrangement in that final shot of the cityscape. I can still see some scenes in my mind, decades after I last saw this incredible movie.
Once seen, Nicholas Roeg's film (like another of my personal "Impact" movies: The Man Who Fell To Earth) is one you won't forget.
