I Am Legend is one of my favourite movies of all time, an exciting thriller with some scares. A military virologist, Robert Neville, is living in a post-apocalyptic world in Manhattan with his dog. A virus has infected humans that mutating them into a vampire/zombie state with heightened mental and physical capabilities. Neville is looking to create a vaccine to neutralize the virus. It was very memorable. The CGI is very reputable, considering the time the movie was released. In my opinion, the film is well directed and constructed as each scene is meaningful and draws the audience into suspense. The climax was unique as he ends up meeting other survivors later as well, and some scenes are downright sad and make you feel gloomy. I’d recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of post-apocalyptic plots and Will Smith because his performance here was extraordinary. Star Rating: 4/5 @Agent24 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board This thriller and drama movie stars famous actors such as Will Smith, Alice Braga, Charlie Tahan, Willow Smith, and more. The movie is about a brilliant scientist who has survived a plague that transforms people into mutants. He is working on a cure while trying to avoid the mutants, and searching for other survivors to save. The movie definitely has many ups and downs as Will’s performance as the scientist is pretty well done, but everything else is kind of mundane. I would rate this movie 3/5 stars and recommend it to those who like disease riddled thriller films. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board A very thrilling movie about a life after an apocalypse. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is possibly the last man left on Earth after a virus spread and infected the population. Neville is constantly looking for signs of other humans still alive. Infected people have become vampire-like creatures, and there are lots of them. Neville must somehow find a cure for the disease before he is also turned into one of the infected. He only has his dog with him initially, but he ends up meeting a couple of other survivors later on. The movie has a fairly depressing premise, and some sad scenes that combine to make a great movie.
