This book takes a look into yet another foray by a despicable man into the lives of very unfortunate children. This simply means “another attempt by Count Olaf to steal the Baudelaire fortune for himself.”

The misfortunes continue for our protagonists, and this time at a severe school. With dreadful teaches, horrible bullies, and a vice principal who believes—falsely—that he is a musical genius, the lives of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are worse than before. At least they meet a pair of triplets who can relate to their lives.

It is truly dreadful to follow lives as miserable as the Baudelaire orphans, but if you continue to desire information on their sad story, this book is the book for you.

Much better than some of those earlier in the series. Count Olaf used different techniques and the orphans made friends.

I loved this book! It is probably my most favorite from the ones I have read so far. (Up to 10, not including 8) (I'm reading the rest soon though). It was a horrid place to be, but they made great friends and had wonderful times! The end made me wanting to see what happened next! I love this series and I encourage everyone to read it!

Another unfortunate addition to this series. I keep finding myself in wonder on how strange yet humorous the writing style is. It's very entertaining and funny to me, and really makes me appreciate the author. I don't normally have experiences reading children's books where I finish feeling not just accomplished that I read it, but that I enjoyed it.
Love the introduction of the Quagmire's, and I'm excited to see the new developments coming in the next book!

loved this book, especially when the orphans meet (finally!) some helpful, nice people. I recommend reading the rest of the series, and other books by lemony snicker as well.

I really liked this book because it made me want to read more. My favourite part of this book was when they suddenly found out count olafs plan. I enjoyed this part because it was very detailed. Overall, I have no negative feedback about this book.
