I enjoyed the first murder mystery in the Wind River series, but The Ghost Walker has hooked me. The struggles the characters faced felt much more urgent, and the suspense kept me quickly turning the pages even after I knew who was responsible for the crimes.

The series is getting better. The characters are growing and changing, and the writing is better. The tensions between the characters and the internal struggles are more compelling as we go. You can start with this book and skip the first two.
