Dresden Short Stories

JessicaGma Nov 12, 2018

If you're anxiously awaiting the next installment of the Dresden files, this is a good short story collection about Harry Dresden and other characters from the universe. The Bigfoot stores are all here, plus a few others.

This is a mixed bag of short tales from the magical Dresden Files universe. Some are better than others, but they're all engaging. Recommended for readers who are already familiar with the series.

One of the fun things about these stories is how many of them are written from points of view belonging to characters other than Harry Dresden. It was cool to hear from my old favorite, the polka-playing coroner, Waldo Butters. I also got a kick out of "Zoo Day", which had multiple viewpoints and showed us Harry as a dad.

I almost want to knock off half a star for a story about Molly Carpenter because I have mixed feelings about the premise and because it did not feel like a complete story to me. As I said, some stories were better than others.

I enjoyed spending time in Dresden's world again.
