But what he finds in his own bedroom may lay waste to all his plans.A WOMAN OF HONORBorn a bastard, housekeeper Bridget Crumb is clever, bold, and fiercely loyal. When her aristocratic mother becomes the target of extortion, Bridget joins the Duke of Montgomery's household to search for the incriminating evidence-and uncovers something far more dangerous.A SECRET THAT THREATENS TO DESTROY THEM BOTHAstonished by the deceptively prim-and surprisingly witty-domestic spy in his chambers, Montgomery is intrigued. And try as she might, Bridget can't resist the slyly charming duke. I think this book could've been a lot better if we weren't bogged down by these drastic secrets/backstories. It's okay to have relatively bad people without resorting to rape and other nasty stuff.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm anticipating the end of this series. I think the author needs to step back, and start over. Because things need to make sense, and they are not doing that anymore.

I think the only reason why I didn't absolutely love this was because the villain/rogue who doesn't believe in love isn't really my thing. About 100 pages in, I finally embraced Val's "I'm the best and rules don't apply to me" attitude and started to enjoy it. Definitely would recommend for anyone who is looking for a bad boy romance!

Loved loved loved this one. If you liked Lisa Kleypas's Devil in Winter, stop what you are doing and pick up this villain-turned-hero story. I cried! In a good way!
