I think my problem is that I am still familiar with the old Flash continuity and find this New 52 stuff a bit confusing. My recollection of Prof Zoom is quite different than this version. That aside, the art is obviously the work of a hard working and creative craftsman. Visually, this volume is dynamic. The story isn't bad either if you ignore my earlier complaint about keeping track of continuity.

An enemy from the future who can move through time, and who has connections to Barry Allen's family tragedy, takes center stage in this volume, as Professor Zoom, an evil counterpart to the speedster, assembles a group of people linked to the Speed Force to break the Flash once and for all. Despite the fact that the leading character continues to be dull as tepid dishwater, the story flows quite well, and the art suits the narrative.
