You should not have touched this book with your bare hands.

NO, don't put it down. It's too late.

They're watching you.

My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours.

You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce , about Korrok , about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye .

The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why? You just have to trust me.

The important thing is this:

The drug is called Soy Sauce and it gives users a window into another dimension.

John and I never had the chance to say no.

You still do.

Unfortunately for us, if you make the right choice, we'll have a much harder time explaining how to fight off the otherworldly invasion currently threatening to enslave humanity .

I'm sorry to have involved you in this, I really am. But as you read about these terrible events and the very dark epoch the world is about to enter as a result, it is crucial you keep one thing in mind:

None of this is was my fault.

Thank you Virgina "Recommended by" for this book! I had no idea about it, never heard about it or the movie but I loved it. It had the super natural stuff and it was funny! I laughed out loud a lot! I really want to watch the movie now! and can't wait to read the others!

It would be best to read the book before seeing the movie. It also helps if you're "on the soy sauce" while doing both.

This book is one of the most entertaining and original works I've ever read. David Wong, a writer for cracked magazine, writes with a fast paced wit that leaves you laughing and wanting more. The sequel is every bit as good, and I can't wait until the third installment is available next month. Anyone who wants a unique story with dark humor and a terrific cast of characters will enjoy this book immensely

I find it quite frightning that my name is Sean, which is Irish for John, and i just saw a book called "John dies at the end"....... Thats a bad sign right? (T-T)

I couldn't put this book down. From start to finish I was hooked on the world and characters that David Wong had created. The story kept me on my toes and whenever I thought I had figured something out, I was completely wrong. Highly recommended.

This was quite possibly the weirdest, most surreal book I've ever read. The entire book reminded me of this Widespread Panic lyric, "You look around the room you find the pant is peeling, your reflective skin is falling off your bones." Like a good Stephen King novel even my dreams were infected. Just this morning I woke in a pool of sweat as a giant oozing acid monster was swallowing my head and melting me into a big blue vat. I was never happier to be awoken by the cash register sound my eBay app makes as I make yet another sell.

Part men in black part fear and loathing

This was a lot weirder (and ruder) than Wong's most recent novel, Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits, but also funnier, in my opinion. Most of the best parts of the book got left out of the movie version, to the point that the stories aren't even really the same.

This book was absolutely HILARIUOUS! I couldn't stop reading...and shortly after I finished, the movie was available at the local Redbox by my local 'best burrito stand within a few blocks of my home at four in the morning' (Read the rest of his works to get that one!)

Completely insane book that's more of a series of interconnected short stories and novellas than a real novel. That said, I couldn't put it down. It managed to make me simultaneously gasp in horror and laugh hysterically, which I thought was physically impossible.

“And watch out for Molly. See if she does anything unusual. There’s something I don’t trust about the way she exploded and then came back from the dead like that.
