Hide and Seek, from Sara Shepard's YA Lying Game series, delivers dark family secrets, devious pranks, and nail-biting suspense. Like Sara Shepard's Pretty Little Liars series, The Lying Game is now also an ABC Family original TV show.

Separated at birth, twin sisters Emma Paxton and Sutton Mercer never had a chance to meet. And now they never will. Someone murdered Sutton and forced Emma into taking her place.

Sutton can only watch from beyond the grave as Emma tries to figure out who killed her--and why. But as Emma digs deeper, the girls discover that the truth may be far more terrible than they'd ever imagined--and the killer may be a lot closer to home....

Secrets are what literally keep the whole series together. Emma faces a constant sense of dread as she starts to spiral into a thicker web of lies. Laurel (sister of Sutton) is acting very suspicious, could she be the killer? It may seem extreme, but murder is already pretty extreme to begin with. And with "mom and dad", what are they up to? Having to watch her back all the time sets up a nice frame for our protagonist as she undergoes some nice plot twists. This is the book that made me start questioning the "actual" murderer's intentions, but I didn't have solid proof. Turns out I was just a bit off though! 3.5/5 stars

This book is sooo good!! I couldn't stop reading it!! In this book they solve and/or find out that Sutton's dad might be a suspect of who killed Sutton. But at the end Emma finds out that there was no way Mr.Mercer could have killed Sutton but now Sutton and Emma's BIRTH MOM might have killed Sutton.

While I did enjoy this book, 'Hide and Seek' - The Lying Game – 4 did not quite do it for me like earlier books in the series. The series should have finished at book 3. Doctor-at Bass –2! M. A.

Cant take it any longer I gotta know who killed my girl Sutton m think Ethan or maybe a close friend like Madeline. Sara might introduce somebody new to who knows?

I think Ethan killed Sutton. None of my friends do because he's so good and perfect but that's the reason I think he's the killer. The book's also written like there is no way Ethan killed Sutton even though that hasn't been proved.

Because the only thing more devastating than my adoptive father killing me and threatening Emma was if our real mother had done it.

Sutton Mercer
