Everyone in Lake Eden, Minnesota, may have had their doubts, but at long last, Hannah Swensen is getting married!

Hannah is thrilled to be marrying Ross Barton, her college crush. And her excitement only grows when she learns he'll be able to join her on her trip to New York City for the Food Channel's dessert chef contest. They get a taste of the Big Apple before Hannah wins the Hometown Challenge and the producers bring all the contestants to Lake Eden to tape the remainder of the show. It's nerve-wracking enough being judged by Alain Duquesne, a celebrity chef with a nasty reputation. But it's even more chilling to find him stabbed to death in the Lake Eden Inn's walk-in cooler--before he's even had a chance to taste Hannah's Butterscotch Sugar Cookies! Now Hannah has not only lost her advantage, she'll have to solve a mystery with more layers than a five-tiered wedding cake...

I have read 19 of your books in the Hannah Swenson series and have taped the six made for TV movies which I watch all the time BUT I am soooooooooooooooooooo disappointed that in the Wedding Cake Murder book she marries Ross and not Mike. How could this happen. Mike and Norman were there throughout all the books and all of a sudden some guy named Ross comes into the picture and Hannah gets married to him. Very very disappointing.

Main character, Hannah Swenson, finally goes to the altar with the man of her dreams--but not before she wins a tv cooking show and solves a murder along the way! Always a series I enjoy.

Finally the wedding we have waited for through many many books but not either of the two we have grown used to throughout the series. Sets up though for something later. Many red herrings and not that easy to pick the who did it or why.

Another fun read, but a little on the too sweet side.

This one was typical of the rest in the series. I enjoy them because they are light, clean reading.

Yeah! This book shows that JoAnne Fluke's writing is back to the interesting style and contact of the early books in the series. After the progressively disappointing writing in the past 3 books, I had swore I'd never read another....that is, until I read that this book was centered around Hannah's upcoming wedding. I didn't expect much from the book (as I just wanted to find out if she'd actually get married or not...don't worry, I'm not telling), so I was more than pleasantly surprised at how mush I enjoyed this book and am really looking forward to the next in the series.
