P.I. Spenser, knight-errant of the Back Bay, returns in this stellar addition to the iconic New York Times–bestselling series from author Ace Atkins. What started out as a joke landed seventeen-year-old Dillon Yates in a lockdown juvenile facility in Boston Harbor. When he set up a prank Twitter account for his vice principal, he never dreamed he could be brought up on criminal charges, but that's exactly what happened. I really wish the Parker family would put this whole ghost series to rest. Ace Adkins is a good suspense author but he isn't Robert B. Parker and shouldn't try to be. Quit with the money grubbing!

I was quite apprehensive, but Atkins did get the tone right. The action scenes and dialogue are very close to Parker. Hawk must be a very difficult character to write, and plays only a minor role in this book (perhaps because of that), but again, Atkins got it right. I'll go ahead and read the rest of the new ones now because of this one.

Ace Atkins does Spenser almost as well as Parker did. Great read.
