It follows the exploits of eleven-year-old Alexander as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life, a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him.

A nice family movie, but not for young kids because of the brief, mild vulgar talk by the kids themselves. Note: This is Jennifer Garner's first PG movie(I think) and probably her last!

Cute movie.. BUT found the movie a little too busy... and was feeling exhausted (and glad) when it ended.

A decent family-friendly movie. Several laughs along the way but nothing too memorable.

I recall reading the very short children's book this is based on when I was 7. It is impressive that they've been able to expand that to a full length film and yet still preserve the message and sentiment of the original. Many laughable in retrospect moments. Do NOT be tempted by this successful adaptation to see what was done with Where The Wild Things Are.

Funny enough and F-bomb-free
