"A great photo knocks your heart open. So give some thought to that. What knocks your heart open."
Sixteen-year-old Shana is officially on a Boy Moratorium. After a devastating breakup, she decides it's time to end the plague of Mr. Wrongs and devote herself to her true passion: photography.
Enter Quattro, the undeniably intriguing lacrosse player who slams into Shana one morning in Seattle. Sparks don't simply fly; they ignite--and so does Shana's interest. But just as she's about to rethink her ban on boys, she receives crushing news: Her dad is going blind.
Shana and her parents vow to make the most of the time her father has left to see, so they plan a photo safari to Machu Picchu. But even as Shana travels away from Quattro, she can't get him out of her mind.
Love and loss, humor and heartbreak collide in this new novel from acclaimed author Justina Chen.

There were times in the book that I thought it wasn't gonna end how I wanted it to... but in the end everything panned out perfectly. Love this book as well as the author and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work. (;

Shana Wilde is on a boy moratorium, especially after her heart not only breaking but shattering with her ex. Dom a 22 year old narcissist of a boyfriend. Flashbacks, memories, jackets, continued to blur her vision and keep her in this love rut. All these signs were letting her know to put these 1 week long relationships behind her but most of all, Dom. All these signs until she was at the Gum Wall in Seattle, Washington and a huge road block stopped her. Actually, a boy did, on his bike, ran into not only Shana but her precious Camera as well as her tripod. Ruining the gorgeous photo she was about to "make" for her collage portfolio. Instead of being upset, frustrated, all emotions she had the right to feel. She couldn't stop her curiosity with this guy and the buzz that both knew they shared. Shana herself has always had problems with boys in the way other girls are jealous of. Since Shana aka "Guy Magnet was just so beautiful, this guy had fallen too. A day later both of them were enjoying their first "not really date." They were actually a pretty perfect fit for each other since they both were flirting experts and each had their own tricks up their sleeves. It was cut short once Shana found 10 missed calls and heaps of text messages, her father was going blind. Sadden and overcome by the sudden news, Shana and her family were pretty down. This would soon change when one of her best friends, Reb held the ticket to her parents dreams. Shana's Mother and Father had always imagined themselves traveling with each other once they were older, especially to the Inca Trail leading to Machu Picchu. Reb's Grandmother was currently in Machu Picchu waiting to start her 4 day trek to the top. As a family they decided this is how they'd spend their remaining six months with the man of the house able to see. Travel. First with Shana and then two other trips individually with her other two siblings. Although this trip was suppose to be one of great fun and adventure, Shana's Dad was upset and hurting which unfortunately turned into unloading his grumpiness on her Mom. Her Mom, even though 'not intentionally' was still suffocating him trying to make sense of this shattered puzzle. Making everything even more complicated guess who showed his irritatingly adorable face?? None other than the bike slamming, flirtatious, destroyer of all boy moratoriums... Mr. Quattro. Along their trek to Machu Picchu many bonding experiences , adventures, as well as self learning happened. Many ups and downs went on between these two, Shana's parents, and the other trekkers accompanying them. A life threatening mud slide brought Shana and Quattro closer. A haunting text also brought them apart. Heartbreak and heartache as well as happiness and harmony fill the pages of this book. You won't be disappointed (;
