Deep below snowy, cobblestone streets, tucked away in networks of winding subterranean tunnels, lives a civilization of hardworking mice, terrified of the bears who live above ground. Unlike her fellow mice, Celestine is an artist and a dreamer, and when she nearly ends up as breakfast for ursine troubadour Ernest, the two form an unlikely bond.

This was such a well done movie that was enjoyable for adults as well as a 7 year old grandson. The story was touching and sweet, yet had a lesson on understanding and tolerance. The art was superb and the entire movie was so excellent. I think we'll have to see this again!

Unexpectedly delightful and very well-made little animation. To call it heartwarming is an understatement. The characters tugged at my heart tenderly and I went back and forth between laughing and saying awwwww, occasionally finding myself worried out of sentiment for the two main characters, while enjoying it enough to rewatch it a few days after first seeing it. I highly recommend it for families with young children and for soft-hearted adults, too. It is miles above most kids' programs/movies, both in the quality of the animation and acting and most critically in the storyline.

Wow. This was really good! Watercolor style animation but the expressions on face so full of life!
