I love this author. She's mature, thoughtful, generous, a dog lover, with a gift for friendship with. This book is about her life post-Carolyn and post-Clementine (important characters in Let's Take the Long Way Home), and it's about her struggles with polio as a child and her eventual hip replacement. Reading it is like spending time with a best friend.
