... not as good as a few of his other books, and certainly not as witty or humorous, it was still an 'okay' read, with the exception of it being dated. He refers to O'Leary Mutual funds, which he sold some time ago, after it being proven an unmitigated disaster in terms of performance, and high MER fees, which had former clients clogging the exits from his funds. Apparently, Kevin should have performed a little more due diligence on that one, as he suggests readers do when first considering a personal relationship.

His writing is opinionated, self-serving, and biased, but after all that is his 'brand'.

While not as enjoyable a read as his book " 50 Common Money Mistakes and How to Fix Them" it is still a good read for anyone over 18 looking to plan their financial well-being. Simple advice written in plain simple language that is easy to understand regardless of you level of experience in this area, although the comments can come across a little harsh, given the wealth of Mr. O'Leary. All in all a good useful read for anyone seeking advice on this topic.
