Gwen fulfills her destiny in this thrilling final book of the romantic time-travel trilogy. Gwen has a destiny to fulfill, but no one will tell her what it is.      She's only recently learned that she is the Ruby, the final member of the time-traveling Circle of Twelve, and since then nothing has been going right. She suspects the founder of the Circle, Count Saint-German, is up to something nefarious, but nobody will believe her. And she's just learned that her charming time-traveling partner, Gideon, has probably been using her all along.       Emerald Green is the stunning conclusion to Kerstin Gier's Ruby Red Trilogy, picking up where Sapphire Blue left off, reaching new heights of intrigue and romance as Gwen finally uncovers the secrets of the time-traveling society and learns her fate.

The conclusion to the Ruby Red trilogy was satisfying and now I'm sad that it's over. I highly recommend this to all who enjoy strong female characters, time travel and a little romance. The books are fun and funny.

All I can say is Wow! The plot twist in this book, and I won't tell when as not to spoil it, completely threw me off course and into a period of temporary confusion. This book successfully wrapped up the whole series and explained all of my questions, and more! Who can resist questions answered about his/her own past, present, or future? Obviously not me, or why else would I have read the book and be reviewing it? Overall, the stubborn protagonist and her charming "boyfriend" are quite the adventures through time. Finish it off with this third stunning book! 5/5 stars.

I love how Gier ended the amazing trilogy. I would definitely recommend Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green to any teenage girl.

I was originally planning to rate the book 2 stars but brought it down to 1 as punishment. So frustrating and disappointing.

Although, I understood the overall plot of the trilogy (I think) I am still confused about the peculiarities of time travelling and why things were done the way they were. I feel like the story (and the characters) could have been much more interesting and fleshed out if a large part of the trilogy was not spent on teenage hormones and romance.

Oh my gosh, this was absolutely amazing!! After reading this book I immediately went to Chapters and bought it because I had to read it again. Excellent finish to and excellent series.

(goodreads.com review)

i obviously didn't mind the book since i read the whole trilogy. however, i felt the pacing wasn't right. i felt the action didn't deliver enough punch, it could have been more exciting. some of the narrative, as well as gwyenth's thoughts, was redundant. the heroine didn't grow enough excepting that she has accepted her destiny.

gwyenth and gideon's deep love for each other seemed to suddenly happen without the usual lead-up and then surging realization of heat/passion felt for each other that i have come to expect (and enjoy) in ya novels with romance. after all, there's nothing like the portrayal of an intense romance that portrays the truth of how young adults feel when involved in a romance during this age.

overall, an ok 'interim' read (while i was waiting for another book to come to me from the library).

This is the final book in the Ruby Red trilogy by Gier. It's sad that this series is over! I really loved the unique spin on time travel, the young love, and all of the secrets surrounding the Loge. While Emerald Green was a really enjoyable conclusion to the Ruby Red trilogy, I found myself thinking about the things I would have changed. Since I loved this series so much, I was hoping for an earth-shattering end to the tale, but instead I finished feeling mostly satisfied, rather than blown away, but the series is just so much fun to read that I highly recommend it to everyone!

It was so good that I wish it could have been longer!
I love Xemerius and his sarcastic and hilarious comments, and is the best pal a girl could ever have!
At least they covered everything about the whole mysterys and everything but i wanted more! I heart Gwen and Gideon for eternity!
