A bit confusing (as usual for Nesbo) but it does finally have some happy endings for Harry Hole but leaves a few dangling threads for the next Hole novel.

Unnecessarily violent. Was there even a point? I quit half way through. Who needs to read about such pointless brutality? Yuk! The only good book he wrote was the Headhunter - that had a good story. This is drivel full of horrible violence and not much of a story line.

I have read all the Harry Hole books and a few were 3 1/2 *... this one is a 5*. ( I love Nesbo's twisted mind); Harry's flaws make him compelling. supporting characters have really 'fleshed-out' in this latest! What Norway lacks in volume of homicides they definitely make up for in diabolic creativity!

Another great Harry Hole mystery that leaves us waiting for the next installment of Norway's crime scene. The character growth is fantastic as flaws are highlighted and overcome, while depth is added to even more of the characters than already existed. Good read.
