Historically interesting -- especially the "Background" sections -- account of, not only the Borgias', but the events and strategies and other city-state fights that led to their decisions. That said, the author seems to go out of his way to counter the Borgias reputation for cunning, ruthlessness, and eccentric erotic behavior.
