I only give this DVD 2 stars out of 5 stars. This DVD had lots of sex scenes. It is not good for a young audience. It has no violence. The script is weak and poorly written. The only thing holding the story together was the quality of the actors. The story seemed phony. They attempted to be mysterious with the use of many twists in the story with the characters lack of integrity. They switched sides they support frequently. None of their words had any honor.

Rated 6/10.

Plot isn't believable. Dialog between the main two characters isn't believable. No indication of personal chemistry between the love interests. Mediocre acting. Dull. Not recommended.

I think this was supposed to be a satire on backstabbing and corporate espionage ... but it wasn't funny ... too slick and glitzy. the corporate version of The Sting

“Duplicity” tries too hard to be clever about creating intrigue. In the process, it abuses flashbacks, making the plot feel too winding and resulting in the audience losing interest.

Ugh? No chemistry between Clive and Julia, and Julia's acting was abysmal! Ending was superb, but not sure if that recommends the entire movie? (Always enjoyed Clive Owens movies and acting - - strongly recommend "The International" with him and Naomi Watts, but just didn't especially care for either Roberts' acting nor the script.)

This is a truly awful movie. The plot is confusing and turgid --- my wife and I never could figure out what was going on. Also, the acting is stilted and unrealistic. The director should have keep a tighter leash on his all-star cast.

Not your usual spy thriller but good nonetheless. Roberts and Owen perform their roles well but the story has some inconsistencies which prevent it from being a better film. It also makes one wonder how much corporate spying really is practiced today.

I was confused throughout most of the parts I could stay awake for.Didn't see the point. All the double crossing just made for a big mess. It took about half dozen tries to watch it all at once & that still didn't help me to understand the plot. Thankful I did not pay to rent this - I would not recommend to others.
