Identity Thief is my favourite movie of all time. I've watched this movie close to ten times, and it never seems to get old. After watching this movie, Melissa McCarthy, who plays the main character, became one of my favourite actresses. She was so hilarious and never ceased to amaze me in every scene. Jason Bateman was also in this movie, and he was just as hilarious. This movie was full of action, humour, and a lot of Identity Theft! I cannot get over this movie and how awesome it was! Ultimately, it's based on a middle aged woman who steals the identity of a man and they go on an adventure together. The man (Sandy Bigelow Patterson) follows his thief in order to bring her in to the cops. She is stealing his money, of course, and he needs it to support his two daughters and wife. It seems like a serious movie, but when you watch it, you clearly see it's a laughter-filled film. I give this movie a solid 5/5.

20 minutes in and then I turned it off. Kind of just felt like they weren't even trying to make a good movie. Melissa McCarthy's parts were really unfunny and Jason Bateman pretty much had his usual charm but the writing was too weak

I feel this movie gets a bad rap... it's no Oscar winner, but if you have low expectations you will be fine. The plot makes no sense and some scenes are pretty ridiculous, but the acting is decent and lots of funny lines.

This movie, meant to be a comedy, simply was far too realistic for me - - never finished it. Real life today sure beats out most books and films. And what occurs all too frequently, really isn't funny anymore.

Some parts of the movie weren't necessary but it really was quite funny. When you look at the background of this woman, she didn't know her real name, had been abandoned as a baby, and went from foster home to foster home. Did you think she would turn out differently?
In the end she owned up to what she did and was even taking classes when she went to jail. She learned from her mistake and that's important for all of us.

I love McCarthy so overlooked some ridiculousness of this movie in general. It had funny pieces and all the things that should have made it work. Had heart too, but somehow stil missed the mark for me.

Identity theft seems like it would be a good theme for a comedy film; in this case it wasn't. Rather than parlaying a variety of clever riffs on the main theme, the film makers resorted to well-worn clich├ęd gimmicks. Over the top sophomoric and unnecessarily salacious humor abounds. While Mr. Bateman turns in a professional acting performance, Ms. McCarty and the rest of the actors, not so much. This is a good one to miss. Not recommended.

This movie had me crying unable to breathe. It was hilarious!!!!

This movie strikes a balance between outrageous humourous situations, and authentic drama with a sensitivity to human tragedy. Worth watching.

I like Melissa McCarthy and Justin Batemen but was the worst movie I've seen in a long time. Thank Goodness I didn't pay money for this.
