A parent's worst nightmare sets the stage for this exhilarating new thriller in the New York Times bestselling Butch Karp series.

A parent's worst nightmare sets the stage for this exhilarating thriller from Robert K. Tanenbaum's New York Times bestselling Butch Karp series.

A legal battle between religious freedom and medical ethics ignites a firestorm of protests outside New York District Attorney Butch Karp's office when he indicts the parents of young Micah Ellis for reckless homicide in the boy's cancer death. Leading the movement is Reverend C. G. Westlund, a fundamentalist preacher who soon comes under fire himself for insurance fraud. As Karp's wife attempts to blow the lid off the con man's heartless scheme, their daughter is back in New York on an antiterrorism mission that finds Karp locked in a confrontation with a deadly enemy from his past. Good and evil fight to come out on top in this explosive legal adventure--until fate metes out its own ruthless form of justice.

Tanenbaum is great. Tanenbaum is awful. Both are true: it just depends on when the particular title was written.
His first half-dozen? [depending on your taste of course] were great. Then he seemed to run out of ideas, resorted to progressively outlandish over-the-top plots.
You see this happening on tv too [i.e. "Medium" program].

If you like more realistic plots, that feel like they could happen, ignore his more recent titles. His first few were great: the Butch, Marlene, Lucy and Tran team were incredible.

The cast of characters Tanenbaum
has makes it hard not to be enjoyable.
Butch Karp and his family, have made
this one of my new favor series.
