Very disappointing. John Cusack is an exceptional actor and must have owed the studio on this one. Not recommended by me!

No blockbuster, but very well executed. A perfect vehicle for Cusack. Similar to something you'd see Liam Neeson in. A brooding lone-wolf mercenary antihero conspiracy actioner. Good shtuff.

Not bad. Low budget production but it was quite entertaining.

Tense and taut thriller. I liked it.

Google Shortwave. This numbers thing appears to exist. A long time ago my father had a shortwave radio. My parents came from Europe after the War. It was a way to for them to listen in on clandestine broadcasts from the Old Country then behind the so called Iron Curtain. Sometimes I fiddled with the dials and heard lots of weird things. A couple of times I actually heard airline pilots communicating with control towers. It all started with The Enigma Machine (Google it).
I think I'm going to go out and buy a very good shortwave radio. Sounds like fun.

OK. Falls short across the board unfortuneately. Low budget but great bunker find. Better script would've saved this. Fun to do notes on this. I'm guessing many new-media 'friends' (i coin my own coin, if there's a virus it'll be mine!) enjoy doing this since WE know more than THEM. The only time the author knows more than the audience is when it's original-— If you dig John Cusack as I do than, of course, see this. He probably had a good time in UK on the expense acct/top shelf guides, trips et al. --- There really were number b’casts; maybe not now. Real recordings are available online, cds.

Not as intriguing as Safe House (Denzel Washington) but couldn't help but to sympathize with the extreme hazards at or away from work as disposable and inescapable black ops agents.

Delivers.

This is a pretty entertaining thriller. It doesn't have a lot of movement though, as most of the film takes place inside a numbers station, so overall the movie wasn't as dynamic as it could have been. It still has action and the plot is pretty good, it's just that films that unfold at pretty much one location almost always get a little bit boring for me. It's still worth watching overall though.

Max: [Meredith holding a gun on him] You're shaking now. You're getting angry. You're letting your emotions get the better of the situation. The adrenalin, it's really kickin' in. What I know? The reason that I'm not shaking is because this is a choice not dictated by emotion. This is logic - pure, simple. My boy over there is rated fourth in the world in the Glock 30. You now what that means? What's it mean... ---

Derne: It means I could shoot you from Texas. ----

Max: Now that's of course exaggeration. But the point still stands, he knows what he's doing. He's a professional. And you're... you. You've already dropped the gun, because this is a choice within a very strict set of parameters. Right now you're in control. What you don't want to do is put him in control. Don't give him the choice. That way is death. That way
