Add a CommentI love Greek mythology with a passion. I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise that I enjoyed this book and the series extremely due to its spin on the story of Medusa. Except here, she isn't a monstrous creature, but rather a sister in charge of guarding the "border" between our world and the monsters. Grace, your seemingly average girl, finds out after she moved to a new place that there is someone who looks identical to her. They could have been twins! In fact, they are two of the three triplets, descended from Medusa, who have a unique destiny. This book was absolutely fabulous, and fans of Percy Jackson or The Goddess Test Series will surely enjoy the plot and romance spins! 4.5/5 stars

I love this series I read two of the books in one day and really want to read the third one.
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I read it all in one day because it was sooooo good!!! XD
EXCITING +FUNNY=A REALLY GOOD BOOK!!!!. : )
I'm in my mid 20's and I did find the book a bit on the cheesy side, however I still enjoyed it. Really like reading about mythology, so that's what made it worth while.
I really enjoyed this book.
this book is just as good as the first
this was an amazing book! i highly recommend it. I was up late at night, eager to read what happened next. I cant wait to read the sequel!
I love me some greek mythology! 3 girls, descendants of Medusa, fighters and guardians of mythological beasts, supposedly rewritten histories, mysterious boys all encased in a young adult contemporary novel! I thought this was seamlessly done in Sweet Venom. Tera Lynn Childs blends mythology with contemporary very well (if you haven't read Oh.My.Gods. and Goddess Bootcamp, GO! so good!) I loved that each girl has a distinct personality and the supporting characters are vibrant as well (WHAT IS UP WITH THANE?!? I MUST KNOW LOL!!) I like how each girl has her doubts and flaws (Gretchen tries to hide it behind toughness, Grace behind her smarts, and Greer with her ice princess attitude) but the journey this destiny is carrying them on will only see them get stronger.
There aren't a lot of books that talks about the descendents of Medusa, and the author portrayed Medusa differently. Very unique, I loved it.
