children enjoyed counting with me

A very clever and well-thought-out book — pages have die-cuts that act as lights on one side and picture elements on the other side. Great for kids who like vehicles and counting. Two picky things that bug me are (1) the font (a gimmicky one that isn't as legible as I think kids' book text should be), and (2) all the rhymes end with a question mark (makes me think of when everyone ends their sentences in a upturn?). Overall though, a fun read. My 2-y.o. loves counting the lights and trying to recall each vehicle as they're revealed.

If GREEN and PRESS HERE had a baby, it would probably be this book. Also makes me think of ON THE DAY YOU WERE BORN in terms of the color scheme.

This is a fantastic interactive book that's part guessing game and part counting book, and is great for kids who love books about anything that goes! With great graphic appeal, bold colours and die-cuts on every other page, this rhyming story combines high interest preschool subjects with important preschool concepts.
