As I never read the Darkest Powers trilogy (by this very author), I did not understand the references between the introduction of the "new characters" who had a past. Or what that past was, but to be very honest, I almost felt like there wasn't much thought happening as I read this book. Afterwards, however, I did a lot of questioning and reflection. Why was it that I couldn't enjoy this book as much? I don't know whether to blame the books and their lack of interest, or if it was my own preferences. However, I would definitely recommend this to people who enjoyed "Twilight" and "Teen Wolf" and such.

I'm just finishing the series - remember reading about the Cabals before but can remember which book ... what other books are they in?

This book was amazing and probably the best from the whole series. I especially loved the ending, how everything turned out.

This book was amazing. A great way to finish off the series. Read some spoilers, and it kind of spoiled it. But over all, amazing book

This book had a great ending! I love when a series leads to an outcome that makes sense and is so perfect! Although my favourite book in the series was the first, this one one came close in second place.

It has been a while since I read the first two books in this trilogy so it took me a little while to get into this book. However I did enjoy this book. I also like the way everything came out and it had an ending. It left another story a possibility but it gave an ending. I also like the conclusion of the love triangle. It was not all teen angsty. Nice ending to a good series.

Not as strongly written as the previous books. Still a fun read, and am glad Maya made the decisions she did. I cannot see this being the end of things at all. Eventually they'll have to grow up, right?

Maya has been separated from a lot of her friends but she still has Daniel and Corey and there is one more person to add to the list when she finds her long lost brother, Ash. Shortly after, she gets captured but it might not be as bad as she thinks because she is learning things at the same time.
