Great book and the narration is wonderful. I would have wished for the female characters to have been more stronger and war like but oh well. Otherwise, it was a good read. I would recommend it.

Very enjoyable in a Harry Potterish sort of way. Three siblings on an epic magical quest with an epic magical villain. Also, enough can't be said about Jim Dale's narration! That man makes every book he reads 100% better! Great fun!!

This is a fabulous series for anyone who loved the Harry Potter books. Especially enjoyable is the reader on this audio book. Jim Dale read all the Harry Potter books on compact disc. He does a marvelous job here--but with a story and plot line like this, he could not fail. This is the second book in "The books of beginning" series by John Stephens. Kate, Michael and Emma continue on their quest for the second book to complete their quest. Incredibly exciting with excellent character development. I cannot say enough good things about this series. You won't regret reading, but start with the first in the series, "The Emerald Atlas."
