The acting is amazing by the entire cast (check out Margo Martindale), and the men are so very fun to look at. The writing is so good, I could watch this one over and over and over... My one complaint is the quality. Some of the car scenes remind me of the bad video and lighting of Dark Shadows. Sad. Otherwise this show would have been a work of art!

I still enjoyed this a lot, and the mixed genres of Southern squalor with Western lawman still works fairly well, but this time around Marshall Givens is starting to get stuck in the squalor himself as his relationship with his ex wife develops, and he starts getting moodier. The series is driven each year by definite story arcs and this one, for me built up to a rather dull climax in which Raylan survival is just the luck of fools, and that twice in 10 minutes or so. Hoping for a better 3rd season.

If you're like me and pick up a season of something at random out of boredom or curiosity then Justified wont disappoint. Even if you watch season 2 before season 1. What makes this show great: strong female leads, moderate violence with shootouts and scuffles, cut away from scenes rather than show gore, perfect casting, and using witty dialogue rather than reverting to disturbing cliches.

As compelling as the first season. These are all fabulously flawed characters - the good guys and the bad guys. I love the Boyd character. Walton Goggins is excellent at making a bad guy so likeable.

I do like this series, but the first season was better than the second. The acting is still pretty good and the main storyline was fairly compelling. The episodes varied in their effectiveness and in my interest in them. The new characters they introduced were relatively memorable. I think they tried to soften Raylen a bit this season while still keeping an edge to him. I thought at times he seemed a bit too soft. All in all, I really enjoyed season 2, but I am hoping season 3 is better. More or less just a cop drama, but the slightly different setting(Kentucky hillbilly holler) and the strong lead (Olyphant) are what keep me watching.
