In Life Code: The New Rules for Winning in the Real World, six-time New York Times #1 best-selling author Dr. Phil McGraw abandons traditional thinking and tells you the ugly truth about the users, abusers, and overall bad guys we all have in our lives. He also reveals the secrets of how they think and how they get to and exploit you and those you love. You'll gain incredible insight into these negative people, which he refers to as BAITERs (Backstabbers, Abusers, Imposters, Takers, Exploiters, Reckless), and you'll gain the tools to protect yourself from their assaults. Dr. Phil's new book gives you the Evil Eight identifiers so you can see them coming from a mile away, as well as their Secret Playbook, which contains the Nefarious 15 tactics they use to exploit you and take what is yours mentally, physically, socially and professionally. Life Code then focuses on you and your playbook, which contains the Sweet 16 tactics for winning in the real world.

I wish this book came out 30 years ago, it would have illuminated a lot of toxic people in my life. Insightful, well written. A must read.

Yes, it's him. Before you roll your eyes: This book describes "to a T", the BAITERS in our lives.
it's like reading the personality profile of some of the more toxic people with whom we have the misfortune to interact. (-unless you are one of them, in which case you aren't likely to recognize this; because it's "always someone else's fault". !!!!

I found this book very negative - not something desirable in the self-help genre; I want to be fired up and inspired, not convinced that everyone in my life in a snake coming to ruin everything have.

An excellent book for those who have worked HARD to build success in their lives only then to face the Evil Eight working to break spirits and destroy lives. Not possible to dislike this book unless member of the Evil Eight. Smart thinking for the pursuit of happiness, positive thinking, winning, focus, strong will, moral ground, heart and solid universal character.

Part 1 was informative and I took away a few interesting pieces of advice. People who see themselves as victims might appreciate this more but I think the real-life scenarios Dr. Phil uses on his show are more effective. In Part 2, "Parenting in the Real World" was the freshest chapter, well worth a read for people who have or are around children.

This guy must have lived in a cave for quite some time. These are things most people learn at a very early age. And yes, Dr. Phil, it is a dog-eat-dog world isn't it? I do not like someone promoting suspicion and tactics of get them first, before they get you - and everyone is out to get you. Please. This is so old.

I've never been a fan of Dr. Phil
McGraw, however, I must say this
book is wonderful. It really should
be required reading. I only wish I
had a book like this years ago. Even
if you regard yourself as extremely
streetwise, you shouldn't hesitate to
read this book to save yourself alot
of problems with the kind of individuals
Dr. McGraw speaks about in this book.
