I read a lot of good reviews for this film, and I was expecting something good. Alas, it's no more than a poorly-executed melodrama after all. More hype than its worth. I literally fell asleep, and couldn't finish.

The writing, dialogue, and cinematography, not to mention the minor continuity details made this a tight and interesting story with a bit of a mystery. Everyone is good in this, but Glenn Close and James Marsden steal the show. Certainly worth a look if you're into indies. Kind of cool film connecting a few story lines within 24hours. It's fun to spot locations in NYC that aren't typically shown in films.

Glen Close is marvelous as Arcadina and James Marsden turns in another stellar-looking guy performance as a, what else.....?

A nice film about the lives of various people in NYC.

The acting, writing, and direction of this film were astounding. I was expecting a poorly executed melodrama, and Heights is anything but. The play the movie the film is based upon is also good - different, but good. Glenn Close, Elizabeth Banks, James Marsden, and Jesse Bradford are great in this flick. Overall, Heights is a very underrated movie that more people should see.
