This is for the narrator ONLY. Not the writing or the story. Her voice was so shrill and awful that I returned the book a few minutes after downloading it. I could not listen to her put fingernails to a chalkboard through an entire novel. I'll try a different version.

Wonderfully built characters and drama. The ending didn't quite pay off in the way I expected, but I loved the book nonetheless.

A brilliantly written, witty, and timeless novel about romance, marriage, and class distinction, without all of the dryness you always thought was required for the construction of Victorian Era Novels. Austen’s characters are so lifelike: you love to hate, and then love to distraction the mysterious Mr. Darcy… you want to reach through the covers of the book and slap Mother Bennett… and can’t help shaking your head at the colorfully vacuous spirit of the youngest daughter Lydia.
