Humanity...from a dog's point of view

A glorious book about a dog who wants to be reincarnated as a race car driver. Yes, you will bawl but you'll be happy about it.

The main message of this book is that, no matter how great the challenges are that you encounter in life, you must face them head-on and persevere to the end - no matter what. The story is narrated through the eyes of a dog, which represents unwavering faith and devotion. I would recommend this book for people who feel overwhelmed by what life is throwing at them.

This book is tearfully sentimental. If you are fond of animals, have hankies on hand.

Couldn't get past the first chapter. This book is written from the viewpoint of the dog, as though dogs had the same thoughts and feelings as human beings. Instead of being cute, I found it exploited my human feelings about my dog and didn't care for the manipulation.

Dog lovers, this story is sure to tug at your heartstrings!

This book reminded me of another novel called "The Humans"; looking into humanity from an outside perspective. A story that will get you both frustrated and satisfied. This novel follows the life of a dog and family and presents the beauty in life's difficulties.

This is a great story, with humor, sadness, and the amazing viewpoint from a dog named Enzo. One of my all time favorite books, and I recommend it to all my friends. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite book of all times. If you haven't read it, you're missing out.

It is one of the most touching stories! Enzo, a philosopher dog, is sometimes more human than people. One of my favorite books!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Enzo, the dog, is an amazing, observant participant in the life of this family. I found it to be totally accurate regarding the racing techniques and strategies also and this added greatly to my enjoyment. Life is hard but it is how we deal with the cards we are given is what this book shows us. A lovely read

Not as powerful as I'd hoped, but still worth reading. I guess while I enjoyed Enzo the dog's voice, I found his humans rather flat and boring. Of course I balled like a baby at the end.....

Excellent Documentary on the history and beliefs of Scientology. The film traces the movement from its initial beginning to the juggernaut it is today. A must see for anyone contemplating on becoming a member.

A tale in which Enzo, a loyal family dog, tells the story of his human family, how they nearly fell apart, and what he did to bring them back together. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs - he thinks and feels in nearly human ways. He has educated himself by watching extensive television, and by listening very closely to the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up-and-coming race car driver.

Enzo knows he is different from other dogs' a philospher with a nearly human soul (and a obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television and listening carefully to the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up and coming race car driver. Now in his twightly years, Enzo finds himself thinking back on his life with the Swift family, reflecting on all he has learned about the human conditions and how life, like racing, is about so much more than simply going fast.

There is no dishonor in losing the race. There is only dishonor in not racing because you are afraid to lose.
