This book is about a slave family who went searching for freedom. They experienced/went through a lot on the way like quietness, fear, running, and even crawling. The family finds freedom at the end!
This book is about the slaves moving from the south to the north. The underground was a fight for freedom from the harsh treatment of the South to the "free" North. The story of the underground is being told in much simpler way for the reader to grasp the concept of the real events of the underground.
