Loved, loved, loved this well-realized dramatization of one of Dickens’ lesser-known works. Fourteen episodes means you will be in front of your screen for a while, but it will be worth it. Actress Claire Foy, now known for her starring role in The Crown, made her screen debut with this in 2008.

An absolute riveting piece! We were compelled to watch the entire series in nearly one sitting! A masterful work of direction, cast, camera work and production. The multifaceted layers of humanity and the strange interweaving of unlikely people were so brilliantly captured it was both mind boggling and breathtaking. Very, very well done.

This is fantastic. I love Amy she just so sweet and good, but not in an annoying way. I thought the acting and music marvellous. It was really sad and scary at parts, but SPOILER ends happily END OF SPOILER. Andy Serkis gave me the shivers. Matthew had me swooning (Mr. Darcy). I really like Claire Foy,just saw her in Going Postal where she is also very good.
