Knit Two returns to the Manhattan knitting store Walker & Daughter five years after the death of the store's owner, Georgia Walker. Georgia's daughter, Dakota, is now an eighteen-year-old freshman at NYU, and running the knitting store part-time with help from the members of The Friday Night Knitting Club.

Drawn together by their love for Dakota and the sense of family the club provides, each knitter struggles with her own challenges. Catherine searches for love following a divorce; for Darwin, it's newborn twins; Lucie is a single mom and the caregiver for her elderly mother; and for seventy-something Anita, her marriage to Marty over her grown children's objections is a problem.

The emotions in this series are a bit too raw for my liking. However, this novel, the second in the series, is better than the first. There is also no need to read the first one before reading this one, as any holes are filled in by the author. My main reason for reading this series was to see how the author worked the knitting culture into her story. My take on this: only a moderate success. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this series.

The second in the series following "The Friday Night Knitting Club. This one examines the group dynamics 5 years after the founder, Georgia, died from ovarian cancer. Her daughter, partner and friends are still dealing with her loss--this got a little overwhelming at times, but the ending resolves itself well and left me looking forward to the next in the series.
