Women across America laughed, cried, and reconnected with their friends after reading Kristin Hannah's smash hit, Firefly Lane. Now, in True Colors, she explores the poignant, powerful, complex world of sisters...

The Grey sisters had only each other when their mother died years ago. Their stern, unyielding father gave them almost no attention. Winona, the oldest, needs her father's approval most of all. An overweight dreamer, she never felt at home on the sprawling horse ranch that had been in her family for three generations. Aurora, the middle, is the peacemaker. Vivi Ann, the youngest, is the undisputed star of the family. Everything comes easily to Vivi Ann, her father's love most of all. But when Vivi Ann makes a fateful decision to follow her heart, rather than take the route of a dutiful daughter, events are set in motion that will test the love and loyalties of the Grey sisters. They will be pitted against each other in ways none could have imagined. Secrets will be revealed, and a terrible, shocking crime will shatter both the family and their beloved town. With breathtaking pace and penetrating insight, Kristin Hannah's True Colors is a novel about sisters, vengeance, jealousy, betrayal--and ultimately, what it truly means to be a family.

I have enjoyed the many Kristin Hannah books that I've read. True Colors is another book of hers that I really enjoyed. The relationship between the 3 sisters was very realistic and not overdone. I recommend this to you if you like a good novel about family situations.

My favorite from her so far! Raw, real emotions of family, jealousy, and love. Made me cry a couple of times. No, nothing like a Harlequin as this is a fleshed out book of people.

Good story. Not as enthralling as The Nightingale. But, the author's plot was unique, not expected or predictable, and had a surprise ending. The middle of the book wore me out as I felt what the central character felt without her husband . . . and no hope for his returning. I'm glad I read it. HINT: Happy ending. :)

I thought this book was too much of a Romance and tied up in pretty bow at the ending. It lacked depth in the story line. I wanted to love it but just couldn't.

Did not finish. Reads like a Harliquin.

Started like a Harlequin Romance but I plugged away and it's become one of my favourite stories! Absolutely loved it and could not put it down. Couldn't get enough and finished in 2 days!!!

Another good one from Hannah about the relationship between three sisters, or at least two. The eldest and youngest are the main characters. As a middle child myself I had to lament a bit that the middle sister is pretty much a non-entity in the story. Oh well, at least the moody, angry teen characters are toned down a bit over some of her other novels.

Bought this book at a garage sale for just 1.00. What an awesome book!!!! I couldn/t put the book down - had to find out how the Vivi Ann / Dallas story turned out.

Décevant. Récit préviible. Trop de longueurs, de détails. C'est mon 4e livre de cet auteur, sans doute mon dernier,
