Six hundred dudes. One porn queen. A world record for the ages. A must-have movie for every discerning collector of things erotic. Cassie Wright, porn priestess, intends to cap her legendary career by breaking the world record for serial fornication. On camera. With six hundred men. Snuff unfolds from the perspectives of Mr. 72, Mr. 137, and Mr. 600, who await their turn on camera in a very crowded green room. This wild, lethally funny, and thoroughly researched novel brings the huge yet underacknowledged presence of pornography in contemporary life into the realm of literary fiction at last. Who else but Chuck Palahniuk would dare do such a thing? Who else could do it so well, so unflinchingly, and with such an incendiary (you might say) climax?

Prior to reading Snuff, it had been a while since I opened one of Palahniuk's books, but I'm glad I chose to indulge again. Super controversial, unapologetic, hilarious, and crass to say the least. As the previous comments indicated, it was a little difficult to get used to the format of the book at first, but once you're 30 pages in you're golden. Great read!

At first the book seems to be just raunchy with no plot but it actually goes somewhere later on towards the middle. The story was decent and surprising. It illicits empathy for the characters but also makes you laugh at them because they're so ridiculous. I liked it mostly for the sleazy Hollywood factoids and it's sex trivia. I liked the book much more than I thought I would. B+ -----Midas the Madman (PAY ME JACK!)

The book has four narrators, which can be a bit hard to follow for a while. After the first 50 pages or so, I got the hang of it.

Other than that the novel is amazingly horrifying. Great read. Very controversial, but in a wonderful way.

Snuff was an easy read. I often found myself disgusted and laughing at the same time. The author does a wonderful job building the scene for you (again, funny and gross). The voices of multiple narrators worked well with this story.

I found the book to be more of a fun read then the usual thought provoking satire Palahnuik usually writes. Still it was a great read with sex, death, and unpredictable twists.

Such a great concept, but runined by too many narrators/points of view.

Disturbing as all get out, completely offensive, obsessively constructed, and wickedly funny. Every time I read Palahniuk, I'm offended and/or grossed out, and every time he comes out with a new book, I can't wait to get it. The best book about the adult film industry you'll read this year.
