I didn't understand how the Turks got involved in WWI. This documentary did a good job of explaining how that came about. The politics of carving up the Ottoman Empire after their defeat was a little over my head, but I got most of it. Amazing that the places mentioned in the struggle from 100 years ago are still on the nightly news; Aleppo & Mosul for example. Also makes it pretty clear that peace in the Middle East would be almost impossible even if the world all converts to solar power and oil becomes irrelevant.
So, real_thing makes mdsdad2cn1’s point: people kill, not oil! Thanks!
Oil cannot kill people. Oil produces energy that has been used to improve most of the world's peoples lives for well over a hundred years.
The other people must either learn to keep up, or contribute to wasting time until an asteroid hits or some other catastrophe overwhelms the whole.
There is much to apply effort to for our futures.
PEOPLE R GREEDY FOR OIL SO IT KILLS PEOPLE. BEST WORLD WAR 1 DOCUMENTARY TO WATCH
Eye-opening !,..An in-depth blow-by-blow examination of this often over-looked "side show" of WW I,.. and the post-war manipulations that have led to such devastating effects in the Middle East today. A 'must-see' for serious history buffs.
