In this film, the narrator takes a journey through the lands of the Torah (or Pentateuch) to reconnect with his Jewish faith. Beginning in Mesopotamia and the Garden of Eden, Bruce Feiler travels in the footsteps of Abraham and Moses. Sadly, some of the remote places filmed are probably out of reach in today's strife. The stories told by the local Bedouin are particularly fascinating, as well as the visit to the the 1500 year old library at St. Catherines monastery in the Sinai. This would be a great primer for a Bible study group . It also emphasises the common heritage of the three great monotheistic faiths.

Spectacular photography but the narrative is disgusting. I considered playing it without sound to reduce irritation.
