Road Warrior is the movie that codified the Post Apocalyptic Action movie. And its influence can be seen far and wide, from Fist of the North Star (manga), to Tank Girl (western comics), from the Fallout series (video games), to the costume design of Motley Crue (music). So many modern creators cite the Road Warrior and Mad Max in general as an inspiration, that you owe it to yourself to see this movie. And to see the damage that a sharpened metal boomerang can do.

The second installment of the ' Mad Max ' movies- this one holds the most iconic moments of the series. Although it's now an old movie, I would say that it still holds up- perhaps some might not appreciate it because it's so seminal, and has influenced so many other dystopian projects.

In this dystopian world, where fuel has run dry and survival is everything, it takes a single man to fight against the hoarders of the remaining gasoline in a gangland tale of life or death. Sounds exciting, huh? Well, it was not, at least not for me. The premise sounded interesting, but frankly, it never felt like anything was happening. The plot didn't accelerate and the action sequences left me unenthused. I didn't even watch "Beyond Thunderdome" because I was so disappointed in "The Road Warrior". Maybe it's just me, but regardless I wouldn't recommend it.

One of the best action movies. Mel Gibson plays Mad Max, a drifter who protects a group of people besieged by a degenerate gang of renegades. The final battle is one of the best vehicle action sequences of all time. "Greetings from The Humungus! The Lord Humungus! The Warrior of the Wasteland! The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla!"

A definite improvement over Mad Max. Still a bit over-done and reeking of the 80's. But pretty enjoyable. You gotta love a guy who eats dog food!
