I thought this was the movie with Patrick Swayze which was so similar except it was lighter and much more fun. Same theme and Patrick Swayze!

This is one of my absolute favorite movies. It's also an LGBTQ+ film classic that, somehow, many LGBTQ+ people under the age of 30 that I have met have never even heard of, much less seen.

How can you not love that addictive soundtrack? ABBA to infinity and beyond!

Terrence Stamp, Hugo Weaving, and Guy Pearce all turn in fabulous performances that are as amazing as their Academy Award-winning costumes. Although the costumes no longer exist because they were put together with glue and staples and made with supplies purchased on discount from K-Mart, the performances still shine.

This movie is a joy from start to finish, even as the characters navigate some hard topics like transphobia, homophobia, and (in flashback) a pedophile uncle. Happiness for these characters is a form of rebellion, a refusal to allow the world at large to beat them down and crush their spirit. Ultimately, "Priscilla" is about the rewards that can come from taking the unfamiliar road and finding family, both the biological variety and the kind you choose. It never fails to lift my spirits.

I think I've seen it 50 times... both when I'm low, and when I'm feeling great. It heals, and it aspires. The library has a great LGBTQ film collection!

Good fun in the Australian outback. Just when things get difficult, complex, confusing--all you need is a pretty outfit and a great tune! Great performances by Terence Stamp, Hugo Weaving & Guy Pearce. Whatever other memorable roles they have performed, I'm sure being beautiful drag queens was one of their favorites.

This movie is aging well, and sadly still as relevant now as when it was released. Entire cast is very good but Stamp is outstanding.

This is a really enjoyable and fun film. That's not only because it is visually impressive and presents some difficult subject matter in a positive and entertaining way, but also because the actors commit themselves to the roles. Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp do a great job here. Worth watching!

fun movie, with some of the ugliest drag queens on earth. Nonetheless, I saw this in bits & pieces on cable, but glad I got to watch it all the way through. Excellent opportunity to look into the lives of Austrilian female impersonators

This Movie is Wonderful. True to Life. Terence Stamp who is famous for being a Star in the Movie The Collector was brilliant in this movie as a Drag Queen. Good Story, Music and Entertaining.

Great LGBT cult-classic that I finally got around to watching. I suspect this movie will be getting a lot more attention now that it is being produced as a musical as well. The movie is entertaining. Lots of drag performance and glimpses at some of the homophobia that drag queens encounter. Love the pink bus, the emu drag-costumes and catty fights. Enjoyable film.
